Material Testing

We have a full-fledged NABL accredited (Accreditation Standard: ISO/IEC 17025: 2017) Geotechnical, Building Material, Bitumen and Micro Surfacing Testing Laboratory at Navi Mumbai for mechanical testing of aggregates, rock, soil, concrete and Bitumen. Our laboratory is handled by technically qualified and experienced staff.

Pavement Investigation & Rehabilitation Strategy

1.   Report of existing status of roads and highways by scientific observation and studies such as:

  • Topographic survey
  • Traffic count survey, Origin Destination survey, Traffic projection for next 25 years
  • Axle Load survey.
  • Pavement condition observation report to highlight road defects such as potholes, ravelling, cracking, rutting etc.
  • Geotechnical Investigation for Marine Projects like river and creek bridges
  • Falling weight deflectometer survey (FWD survey)
  • Pavement layers and soil properties study report by testing bituminous, GSB and soil material in our state of art geotechnical and bituminous material testing laboratory.

2.  Pavement design for cost effective and durable road construction with recommendation of micro-surfacing layer developed our laboratory

Geotechnical Soil & Rock
  • Sample collection of soil and rock by drilling and boring at site.
  • Sample collection of Bitumen from site/manufacturing sources and testing in laboratory.
  • Foundation analysis.
  • Soil investigation required for pavement design of highways using trial pit method.
  • Sub base investigation for pavement design.
  • Field CBR testing.
  • Plate Load Testing of foundation pit at site.
  • Dynamic Cone Penetration test at site.
  • Benkelman Beam Deflection testing for highways.

Building Material
  • Testing of Coarse & Fine Aggregate
  • Concrete Beam Strength testing
  • Concrete Chequered tile testing
  • Clay and Fly Ash Brick testing
