Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC) is Special Planning Authority for the MIHAN project and as part of the duties of SPA a development plan needs to be prepared for entire Special Planning area about 4400 hectare as per MRTP ACT.

Aakar did existing land use (ELU) along with the economic base and the market study for the MIHAN area. On the basis of the same ELU economic base, regional context a Development plan (proposed land use plan) was prepared for the area of 4400 ha.

The residential population as well as employment / were projected. The development control rules were formulated along with the land use zoning and the same was presented in the form of report.

The report covering development plan proposals were submitted to MADC for onward submission to Government of Maharashtra.

The Planning proposal/Development plan has been published for suggestions and objection and after due public hearing the plan has been sanctioned by Urban development department ,GoM

To promote and position tourist locations in district a District Tourism Master Plan work was initiated by Aurangabad District administration . The preparation of district tourism master plan was awarded to Aakar.

Consultant Identified and mapped existing and new tourist locations within district. Identified the potential tourist locations (53 Nos.) for tourism development. Carried out infrastructure gap survey for identified tourist location (53 Nos.).

• Proposed various tourism products like eco-tourism, adventure tourism, Rural-Agro tourism Nature & forest, heritage etc. along with infrastructure required.
• Identified and proposed inter and intra district tourist circuits.
• Suggested marketing and promotional strategy for tourism promotion within and outside district.
• Proposed strategy for project implementation along with capacity building programs and funding sources.
• A financial outlay of Rs 416 cr for tourism development is proposed in master plan.
• The plan was presented to MTDC and Department of tourism and has been approved by MTDC and DoT GoM. Now it is with Government of Maharashtra for final approval.

Project component : Landscaped areas, lawns tree plantation, jogging track, children's play area, yoga park, Open gym, amphitheaterskating rings, waterfall, gazebos, parking and sundial.
