PREPARATION OF TOURISM DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR BALPAKRAM NATIONAL PARK , MEGHALAYA

Client - Meghalaya Infrastructure Development & Finance Corporation.

Project Year - 2020

Project Area - About 164.93 sq.km.

Balpakram - The 'land of the eternal wind’ is a National park in the south of Garo Hills in Meghalaya, having rich Floral and Faunal diversity, heritage and tribal traditions, envisioned to develop and popularize this destination on tourism map of Meghalaya.

Scope - Base line study, benchmarking of ecotourism products, infrastructure gap analysis, SWOT analysis, assessment of existing tourism infrastructure and footfalls, study of existing rules and regulations, delineation of pristine areas and tourism areas, preparation of Tourism Development Strategy, mapping tourism zones, environmental zone and prepared overall Masterplan of each of the zones suggested development guidelines based on sustainable tourism development.

Prepared Detailed Project Memorandum for Tourism Investment Opportunities, formulated vision for development on the concepts of ecotourism, environmental conservation, Cultural & Village tourism, and Adventure tourism with suitable conservation strategies in lines with Sustainable Development Goals, aimed to promote ‘High value Low Impact’ sustainable tourism proposals use the locally available resources.

Proposals comprises conceptual area development plan, based on carrying capacity analysis, implementation strategy and phasing program based on PPP and State financed modes with monitoring mechanism.

Status - Completed in 2022.

Service Rendered - Prepared Detailed Feasibility Project Report for riverfront development A master plan is proposed based on Navras theme for the identified pockets along 3.5 Km River stretch. The DPR has been approved by Development committee under the chairman ship of Hon Administrator of Daman & Diu with an financial outlay of 47 Cr. Presently the Project is submitted to central ministry for approval and funding.

Service Rendered - Carrying out exhaustive surveys and precedent studies; existing Situation analysis; carrying capacity assessment; Stakeholder consultations; preparation of Zonal Masterplans for the 7 ESZ pockets detailing environmental conservation strategies, strategies for regulation of vehicular traffic, strategies for addressing economic and social needs of the local community and promotion of sustainable tourism strategies based on carrying capacity assessments.

DPR for Tourist Amenities & facilities at Kuda Caves, Raigad

DPR FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST AMENITIES & FACILITIES AT KUDA CAVES, A HERITAGE SITE, DIST- RAIGAD UNDER REGIONAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT SCHEME

Client - Directorate of Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra.

The Kuda Caves is a heritage site and comprises of a complex of 26 Buddhist rock-cut caves of Hinayana style on the western face of Mandad mountain overlooking the Rajpuri creek. The caves were carved out in basaltic rock, dating back to 2nd-3rd century CE.

Scope - Survey, Preparation of Master Plan as per Archaeological Survey of India policy,, Architectural Plans & Designs Structural Designs, Site Development plan, Interior Design, Acoustical Designs/Services, MEP services, Elevations, Sections, Walkthrough, Cost Estimates, Bid Documents, Working Drawings & Designs, approval from statutory authority, assisting in supervision etc.

The project proposal comprises of identification of gaps in infrastructure and tourist facilities and way to fulfil the requirement, development of strategies for improvement of footfall, employment generation of local population, and popularization Kuda caves by bringing it under the tourist circuit.

The DPR proposes facilities such as Garden, Seating, Pathways, Food Kiosks, Development of Road, Parking space, Signages, Universal access pathways, Water and Toilet Facilities, etc.

Status - DPR completed in 2022 and tender for development of some facilities in progress.

Agro Tourism Project at Sawantwadi

MASTER PLANNING FOR INTEGRATED AGRO TOURISM PROJECT AT MADKHOL, SAWANTWADI

Client - A Reputed Developer.

Project Area - About 107 acre.

Planning for a high end Integrated Agro Tourism Project.

Infrastructure survey in terms of availability of Transport Linkages, water supply and electrical networks, development of theme, demand assessment, stakeholder consultation, preparation of Master Plan, sizing of facility, land use plan, architectural drawing, Infra planning, 3D Views, costing, parathion of marketing collateral, assisting client in development agreement with various project proponents.

Project, planned to be developed on Panchmahabhootas philosophy and Vastu-Shastra compliant addressing the Physical, Psychological and Spiritual well being of user.

The resort proposes high end cluster villas with exotic facilities, equipped with world class infrastructural facilities and amenities on agro-tourism concept.

Status - Assignment completed and development partners selection process underway.

Integrated Tourism Development Plan for Satkosia WLS, Odisha

PREPARATION OF INTEGRATED TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR SATKOSIA DESTINATION, ODISHA

Client - Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha.

Project Area - About 963.87 sq. kms.

Department of Tourism (DoT), Odisha Government is putting concerted efforts to position the state prominently on the domestic and international tourism map and aims to develop Odisha as one of India’s most preferred tourist destinations.

Scope - Detailed field assessment, enlist potential components and projects which are feasible from technical, commercial, legal and environmental perspective, Assessment of carrying capacity, identify potential projects and development of support infrastructure, Prepare a detailed Master Plan in an integrated manner, combining Satkosia Northern and Southern side through connecting waterways etc, Propose a workable model for infrastructure and project development within the legal constraints of Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and other applicable Acts/ Rules/ Judgments etc. Master Plan intend to transforms Satkosia and Mahanadi valley’s into a more sustainable and ecologically diverse tourism destination; maintaining the indigenous and endangered biodiversity of the area. The proposals follow the sustainable Development Goals and help to boost the local community, Environmental conservation and Economic Efficiency; to become an ideal community for sustainable ecotourism. The masterplan proposes a Hub and Spoke form of zoning; with Purunakote, Badmul and Sitalpani as Hubs and other areas as Spokes, having unique tourism products, specific to site.

Status - Concept Plan completed and Master Plan is on the verge of completion.
